[ The sensation of the brush combing through her hair had Anna relaxing, hunching over slightly in her seated position. It truly was soothing... ]

... I...

[ About to speak up, the redhead fell silent again... stunned into thought. Bold. Fearless. Heart always in the right place. It wasn't that she wasn't used to compliments- okay, maybe not so much. Anna didn't hold herself in that high of a regard, extremely humble- after all, it was just her. (And the one person who had challenged that directly turned out to betray her, so...)

But hearing those words right now, when she really needed them, made her smile fondly down at her lap- fiddling with her fingers, falling into a warm chuckle. ]

I won't. Really...

[ A hesitation, before she blurted- ]

I'm really lucky to have you as an older sister.

[ And those words brought a smile to Elsa's face; Anna just had a way of warming her heart like no one else could. There was that bond that they had, damaged, but unbroken by the decade they'd been forced apart. That was something that she was extremely grateful for; something that she didn't feel that she deserved, but was quite unwilling to let go.

She breathed a soft laugh, shaking her head a bit as she continued working the brush through the some more stubborn tangles. ]

Not nearly as lucky as I am to have you. You mean the world to me, Anna. I hope you realize that.

[wait_what]

[ Anna giggled, furrowing her brow as Elsa brushed through an especially knotted strand. ]

... O-of course! Yeah. Well- I knew that.

[ she let out- it wasn't like she was lying, either. Anna had never stopped truly believing that Elsa loved her- even when her heart had been frozen.

It was still nice to be told that, though. The reassurance made her feel special, turning around slightly- probably disrupting Elsa's attempts at brushing her hair as she reached for one of her hands- ]

And you mean the world to me. Seriously, I- I don't know what I'd do without you, Elsa.

[ Elsa stopped brushing, setting the object to the side as Anna reached for her. Her gaze flickered down toward their hands, every instinct within her telling her to pull away, yet at the very same time there was comfort in knowing that she could dismiss that fear. There was no need for it anymore. It was a wonderful feeling. One that--coupled with Anna's words, brought tears to her eyes.

She smiled fondly at her sister, giving her hand a soft squeeze before pulling it away and leaning forward to wrap her arms around her. ]

I think it's safe to say that we need each other.

[ She laughed softly, tightening her hold on Anna. ]

Because I don't know what I do without you either. I can't even fathom the idea of being Queen without you by my side.

[wait_what]

[ Anna couldn't help but giggle- a little throatily, even, as Elsa hugged her close. It was simply so nice to be held by her older sister.

Her own hold tightened, something like a bear hug if that was even possible. She really needed to get used to this feeling- even if simultaneously she just wanted to feel the same elation every time. ]

... And I can't imagine not having an older sister to look out for me. Do you know how much trouble I'd get into without you?

[ She snuggled into Elsa's shoulder, sighing. Without someone with some more sense and restraint to complement her reckless excitement, Anna felt like she'd simply be missing her other half- in the truest of senses. ]

So yeah... hey, you don't mind if I stay here, right? Just for tonight?
