[Character name] Claire Bennet
[Age] 15-16 (Canon was really inconsistent on how old she is.)
[Canon] Heroes
[Point in time taken from canon] Post Volume 1, Chapter Twenty-Three "How to Stop an Exploding Man"
[Background]
Heroes Wiki and here's Wikipedia for good measure.
[Personality]
At first glance, it would seem like Claire is your run-of-the-mill teenage girl. She's co-captain of her cheerleading squad, she's pretty and popular at her school. But that's not all she is. Claire has a special ability called "spontaneous regeneration", meaning she can heal from any wound at an incredible speed. Imagine being in her position, thinking she lived a normal life until she found out she can walk through a wood chipper and live to tell about it. The discovery suddenly made her feel alienated and alone, thinking that she was a freak just because of what she can do. This leads to her actively seeking for her birth parents. In her mind, maybe they had all the answers and make sense of what was happening to her. Maybe, just maybe, they were the same as her.
The “gift” made Claire more reckless. She can heal any wound, meaning she can’t die right? With this line of thinking, Claire enlists the help Zach, an old friend she has never spoken to since middle school to videotape her many attempts at killing herself. She’s not exactly suicidal but Claire believes that the tape was a way for her to reach out to her birth parents. She’s not exactly suicidal but Claire believes that the tape was a way for her to reach out to her birth parents. One more example of Claire’s recklessness was she insisted driving Brody Mitchel’s car, only to crash it
The only footage that shows Claire not trying to kill herself (directly) was her saving a man from a burning freight train. It may have just added more footage of her being a freak (in her words: “I walked through fire and I didn’t get burned), a few episodes later showed that deep down, Claire is a good and decent person. When the Odessa Fire Department went to Union Wells High School to look for the girl that saved the man from the burning freight train, another cheerleader named Jackie took credit for her heroic effort. While Jackie gloated and use this story as a campaign for being homecoming queen, Claire approached the Fire Chief, expressing concern by asking if the man was all right.
Even though Claire was adopted, her family is very important to her and she loves them very much. When her adopted brother Lyle found the tape and threatened to upload it to YouTube, Claire begged him not to, saying that the Bennets might think it was a mistake to adopt her. Claire’s faith and trust on her father, Noah Bennet, got shaken when she found out he knew all about her abilities and that he was working for a Company who were involved with people who had special abilities like herself. Eventually, she came to understand that her father was protecting her, that if her abilities were made public, the Company will take her away. However, Claire was willing to risk everything for her family, even though it will lead her being taken away by the Company. One instance of this was showed when she walked into their house while Ted Sprague was going nuclear in order to inject him with a tranquilizer needle. She was successful, even though she suffered “minor injuries” during that fiasco.
She has a tendency of relying on other people too much to the point that she becomes dependent on them. The reason she became so angry at Mr. Bennet because Claire was counting on him, not just as a father but as someone who actually understands what has been going on with her regarding her powers. Claire became devastated when the Haitian wiped out Zach’s memory. Ever since the discovery of her gift, the boy became her only confidant about the entire thing and he’s the only one among Claire’s peers who not only likes her for who she is, he also tells her to “embrace her inner freak”. When Peter Petrelli saved her from being murdered by Sylar, it was the only time she felt safe. She went to New York to seek him out, hoping that he’ll be the only one who can protect her. With the Haitian, he was the closest link to her father’s past. Her interactions with him were based with her need to know that “something in her life that wasn’t a lie”.
[Abilities]
Claire has an ability called "rapid cellular regeneration". She breaks her bones falling off the water tower? She just pulls her arm and her dislocated shoulder is fixed. Her broken ribs are just pushed into her skin and she’s just good as new. This goes for any part of her body that goes through any type of physical injury. There’s not a scratch on her. This ability also heightens her threshold for pain. She can still feel physical pain, just recovers quicker from it than the usual person.
But her ability has one weakness. If she suffers an injury that pierces the back of her skull, she’s dead; her ability no longer works. This was shown in the episode where a boy named Brody attempted to rape Claire and accidentally killed her when her skull was pierced by a broken tree branch. She was able to revive when said branch was taken out while her body was being autopsied.
Besides that, during the course of the series, Claire is shown to be a pretty damn good liar and has a future as a pickpocket.Just saying.
[Other important stuff]
Only drinks chocolate milk; never plain
Draws mermaids on the margins of her notebook
Puts crackers in her sandwiches just to make them crunch
Usually the first one to laugh at a joke
Collects teddy bears from around the world.

[First Person]
What were you doing before now?
Fast asleep in the car. Last time I checked, we were on our way to Costa Verde, California. Now I'm... here.
What do you think of your home world?
That God must have been playing some kind of cosmic joke on us.
If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
Um, "I'm a freak."? Would that work for you?
Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? Neither is an option as well, but still tell why.
Look, just because I can do what I can do, doesn't mean I'll go around the city fighting crime!
If you could have any super ability, what would it be and why?
Are you kidding me? [Laughing kinda bitterly.] A super power, huh? How about "being normal"? 'Cause in my world, that would be consider as a "super ability" all right.
You are on the verge of death. You know there is no way to survive and there's no coming back. Choose any of the following to answer: What is your last wish? Your last regret? Last thoughts? How do you feel? Who is the last person you think of other than your killer?
See, the problem with that question is I can't die. Trust me, I've tried.
[Third Person]
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me."
Waking up in the fields of Espoir was the last thing Claire Bennet ever wanted happened. She scrambles to her feet, trying to flick away the dirt on her jeans while trying to make sense what was happening to her. For the life of her, she couldn't shake off that feeling of deja vu nor that feeling of dread as she makes her way through the dirt pathway, only to be reminded why she had the urge to get away from the fields as quickly as possible.
The scarecrows. Those crazy scarecrows.
Now, it might sound silly (even ridiculous!) for someone who grew up in a small town from Texas to be weary of these things. But they weren't exactly your run of the mill scarecrows, oh no. For one, these things are alive. That wouldn't be so bad if the damn things weren't so damn territorial and violent when it comes to "defending" their crops. One of them spotted Claire instantly and proceeded to goad his fellow scarecrows into chasing the poor girl and throwing things at her just to run her out of their property. The cheerleader ran as fast as she could but one of the scarecrows threw at pitchfork at her and it pierced her leg upon contact. She stumbled to the ground, wincing as she tried to pry her leg out from it. The pain she felt didn't even surprised her anymore, Claire had come to expect it whenever she gets hurt like this.
She would have taken her time but the scarecrows weren't exactly a patient lot. With one forceful yank, Claire freed her leg from the pitchfork, tearing the limb in the process. After wiping off the blood off her hands with her jeans, she stands on her good leg, limping away as her regenerative ability started to heal her other leg. It took longer than she like but after a few more minutes, her leg was as good as new, save for the torn and bloodstained fabric of her jeans. She sped off, trying to get away from the scarecrow's range of fire. What she didn't count on was somebody being in the fields at the same time she was. She bumped into the stranger, knocking them both into the ground.
[What do you hope to do with this character in Somarium?] Honestly, I want to give this girl a break, a shot of living a normal life. But at the same time, I want her to come into terms with her powers. In canon, she is slowly beginning to accept that her ability is a part of who she is. I want to develop that during her stay in Somarium.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Still the magical pregnancy protection rule.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Amanda was the one who introduced it to me~ /o/
[Any questions?] Nope. O:
